Oscar & Libby's quilts

I made Oscar's quilt for him when he turned one. We spent so much time outside that a picnic blanket was the perfect idea. I hand pieced this one & then had it longarm quilted by a lady in the Golden Triangle Quilt Guild (Beaumont). Plus he learned all about color and his fruits/vegetables! Couldn't ask for a better combo.

PICNIC TIME!

When Libby turned one, she needed something just as special. The walls in her bedroom were really bare in the new house so I decided to do a combo wall hanging/lap quilt that showed off her growth. Hers is a Jan Mullen project I did at the International Quilt Festival 2007. I machine pieced & for the first time machine-quilted. Hopefully you can see the detail.
